The sound carries the influence of artists that best represent the main genre (Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Sirenia...), as well as of other metal subgenres, approaching classical music
(orchestral instruments, choir and operatic vocals), not just as a flavor, but with a structural presence in songwriting and arrangement.
Cooperation between Rachele Olympia Manfredi and Tapani Rauha, both vocal coaches and polyhedric minds, results in an album that fully represents the project’s artistic vision. There was no
will to follow what has already been done, or copy “what works”, from the standards. With “Pain and Fiction”, Bleeding Zero does not invent a new subgenre, but aim to mix the numerous and
different styles influencing the band, with a style as iridescent as the moods and events narrated
by the lyrics, surprising the listener with unexpected but emotionally expressive elements.

Bleeding Zero is a project conceived by vocalist Rachele “Olympia” Manfredi (ex-Deuxvolt): the
sound is an original amalgamation of gothic/symphonic metal, elements from various metal
subgenres, strong classical influences and a special attention to lyrics as poetry, as well as to the
theatrical dimension.The sound carries the influence of artists that best represent the main genre (Nightwish, Epica,
Within Temptation, Sirenia...), as well as of other metal subgenres, approaching classical music

What a fantastic album! Chiara's versatility is incredible, and the rest of the band is super talented too. The songwriting is excellent. One of my favourite albums in recent years, and their subsequent albums are superb as well. One of the most underrated bands around, they deserve a lot more attention. yash_d
